RESIDENT FEES- Maintenance/pool invoices were mailed to all Huntington Estates homeowners in early January. This fee is mandatory.
The due date to pay is February 28, 2012. LATE CHARGES AND INTEREST WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS. Please avoid having to pay late charges -- get those payments in on time! Legal fees are also associated with enforcing and releasing liens and are paid by the homeowner. If you are experiencing a hardship, have questions about our by-laws, or would like to settle an account which has a lien placed on it, contact any board member.

NON-RESIDENT MEMBERSHIPS - Invoices were mailed in early January to all families who were members of HEBT last summer. HEBT FAQ's
When will you get lights on the tennis courts? The Board has considered this request the last few years, but has not had the budget to support it. It remains on our wish list for future improvements to the facility.
What improvements are planned for our pond? A homeowner requested that we look at adding fountains to the pond. A local pond management company provided an estimated quote of $15,000 plus $900 in annual maintenance fees for two fountains. Pond fountains are attractive; however the initial price plus annual support fees make them less desirable. They provide limited benefit to maintaining algae and odor control. In the Northern climates, fountains must be removed every fall and replaced every spring. They cannot operate in the freezing winter months. Fountains can clog with algae, plant debris, and waste (i.e. plastic bags), necessitating their removal and maintenance-often times by a professional. Fountains require electricity to be run into and across the pond. An eco-friendly alternative to fountains in pond management is aeration systems. Huntington Estates has two aeration units installed in the pond. They mix and aerate the pond to help keep it healthy, clear, algae and odor free. These two aerators have been in use for many years. We will be looking at possibly replacing these older units if there are better solutions on the market today.
